- Dry-fit does not equal cool. I love, love, love my Livestrong T, but goodness I was ready to strip that puppy off and run in my sports bra. I am a bit shy especially since there is no six pack hiding under there, but I was "thisclose" to stripping.
- Running shorts may not be flattering but there are cooler than dry-fit yoga shorts. (Are you starting to see a theme here?)
- Matching is under-rated when you are hot. (There were lots of ladies wearing bright sports bras with a different, equally bright colored pair of shorts that day).
- Never wear a plain, unlined, cotton-ish sports bra when its hot...you may want to strip down to it, but can't. :/
- Maybe, I should see what all this fancy gel, block, sport drink is all about...the water doesn't quench your thirst anymore in mile 8.
- I still love my shoes even with a hurt toe. I woke up and my big toe (underneath it really) was sore...that must have been some dream. :) A quick look on Cool Running and I learned I may have bruised some soft tissue. (sesmasoid, turf toe).
- I still am no rabbit; I can't keep a steady pace, but we booked the first five miles with a 9'13 pace.
- Stuey is my running inspiration. On Saturday, he completed a 2 hour bike ride and a 1 hour run. Followed by Sunday's 20 mile run. Hello, he's a beast!
- Brunch is still the reason why I run. The crisp bacon and spinach & artichoke omelet was DELISH!
- Goodness gracious...it is officially my birthday week. (applause) How I love my birthday! Followed by, uh-oh...I have a half marathon at 7 AM in a week. I guess I will approach it as I always do...one stride at a time!

10 things I Learned in 10 miles...
So I had my 10 mile training run on Sunday. Overall, not too bad of a run. We stepped it up a notch with a quicker pace. Not too bad considering the humidity. It is never a good sign when your sweat doesn't evaporate....not even a smidge. Along my run, I learned 10 new things. Here goes:
